This concept worked great for the tree - not so much in my opinion, for the bird - I think he looks like he has the pox!! lol
I stamped my bird & tree in black then filled in color on the bird with a tiny fan stamp and on the tree with 2 different sized woodgrain shadow stamps. While it is a quick way to add color, I will probably be more selective in the future as to what I use this technique on . . . .

Oh, I love the tree. It makes me think of a peacock's tail. You could always mix and match, but actually I think the little bird looks quite sweet. I'm glad you're partly back, albeit with a no doubt frustrating hit and miss.

I love the coloring technique you used on this sweet card. Your tree is amazing and your bird doesn't look poxy to me. She looks fluffy. Beautiful sentiment, also. Great card.
