I used a technique called "masking around" found on the clearsnap website. It's a combination of shattered glass and buffing. Real easy and I like the effect! To do it you start with glossy card stock. You randomly tear strips of painters' masking tape and place on glossy card stock. Take chalk ink in a dark color and apply directly to your card stock covering the entire piece. Let dry a minute or two and then buff it out with a cottonball. Remove the tape and apply a lighter color over the white strips left behind. Then buff this out as well. You can use this as a background piece or stamp over this piece for your main card.
