This is my sample for CC657. Karen is our hostess and she has chosen wild wasabi, powder pink, so saffron and soft sky. Dessert Option this week is scallops.
I am also entering this in Rebecca's Falliday Fest Challenge "all the feels". I used a felt bow on my card.
I wasn't sure where to go with pastel colors this time of year, so I decided to try a Christmas card. Voila! I was able to make it work with my Christmas Tree Cupcake. It's a new die from the CottageCutz 2017 Christmas release.
I even squeezed in the so saffron color with my tree star and the poinsettia center. For a little variation in the pink, I sponged with pretty in pink ink on the gift and poinsettia image. I also used choc chip cardstock to make this a choc cupcake, That part is layered underneath the white icing.
The background soft sky dsp is from the Stampin'-Up "all is calm" collection.
For the scallop dessert option, I used the CottageCutz nested stitched doily die. It is cut in powder pink. I used the CottageCutz stitched circle die and cut in wild wasabi. To adhere the cupcake image, I used dimensionals. I wanted it lifted a bit from the circle background.
To complete my card, I stamped my sentiment, added a small pink bow and scattered a few of the leftover tree ornaments.
I hope you are able to join in with us this week. If you are playing along in the Falliday Fest Challenges, you might be able to use these colors to create a card like I did.
