I was inspired by a card by Lydia (a.k.a. UnderstandBlue) to create another card, for the Alcohol Ink Baubles tutorial. I used alcohol inks on clear Duralar acetate for my ornament ball. While that dried, I die cut a circle from a panel of white cardstock, and stamped my greeting in Black Shimmer ink. I marked the center of the circle cut-out, and made a tiny slit at that mark. I used my T-square ruler to make another mark directly above, on the edge of the panel. Then I strung a champagne colored metallic thread along the line between those 2 points, and taped the ends on the back. I adhered my acetate piece--inked side facing up--to the back of my panel, so the best part of the colored design showed through. I adhered scraps of fun foam to the back of my panel, making sure to avoid putting any over the circle area. I adhered that to a white A2 card base. Finally, I tied a bow with the same metallic thread, and glued it to the top of my ornament.
