This card is for a dear friend and cardmaking buddy! I plan to enter it in three SCS challenges:
1- Alphabet Challenge, Round 8, Letter C/ double challenge: X = X-acto. Of course, C works just fine, as my card is all about cork flowers, but to meet the X-acto challenge, I had to cut my Fishtail banners with an X-acto blade, at which I am not terribly skilled. for more hand-cutting, I also fussy-cut the fishtails with my scissors and the edges of my felt leaves with my pinking shears to make them more jagged.
2- Featured Stamper #FS557 - This week's featured stamper is Rochelle, aka beechwood, and while browsing her lovely gallery, I found another card that gave me inspiration for another card I needed to make. See her Sunflower Pop-up Book card here: Sunflower Pop Up Book Card by beechwood at Splitcoaststampers.
For my card, I used many colors as did Rochelle, plus fishtail banners, flowers with leaves, and layered circles, both plain and scalloped, but I do have a completely different layout. I also did not make a pop-up inside as Rochelle did in her card. Rochelle, these creative pop-ups are so clever, but I did not have time to add this idea!
3- Inspiration Challenge #IC618 - view the Victorian Trading Co. website for inspiration. I chose the Marie Antoinette Shoe Bags as my inspiration for its lovely colors and flowers. See it here: https://www.victoriantradingco.com/i...shoe-bags-pair.
made for round 8. Guess what? That’s 1 more then me!!! Lol Yeps just havnt been able too do much with the moving back home and a year of being away from home isn’t a pretty sight to come home too and try putting 2 households into a lil house . But it home and at least we have a roof over our heads. I was thinking I’ll probably try and get some of my falliday fest cards to do double duty but I’m pretty much brain dead and can barely move with horrible back pain and trying to locate all my tools and stuff that are buried. But hey I’m still managing to have fun and take part but the best thing this time around is I’m getting quality time with DD. Lord knows we both need the paper therapy!! Des got crochet therapy too and I have found myself crocheting too making beanies lol but welcome back sis hope you enjoyed your quality time with your DDs

Very pretty Carlene! I've been staring at it trying to decide if the flower and leaves are felt. That is what they look like but I can't quite tell! You have many interesting elements all combined together here. Lovely!

Terrific collage style card that your card-making friend will enjoy and appreciate. Not always as easy as it seems to arrange multiple elements into a pleasing and cohesive way.......and you did it!
