Got this idea from Valentyna's card: http://flourishtina.com/2015/11/autu.../#comment-2388
I thought I was going to end up using the outline image that pairs with this leaf stamp, but ended up keeping it simple. For each leaf I stamped in one ink and sponged on another. Then I spritzed with the water mister before stamping. I love how it turned out. I wasn't sure if I should add the thread and accent to a guy card, but went with it in the end. I normally use Tim Holtz watercolor paper because it is a nice white. But, with this one I decided to use the Strathmore kind to give it a more natural tone. I was really quite happy with how well it laid down flat. It was easy to work with even with the twine behind it.

Fabulous blending of the colours on the leaves. I'm glad you didn't use the outline images as it gives a more watercolour look without it. Thanks so much for joining us at CAS Watercolour!

Fantastic technique with inking your leaves with one colour and then sponging on a second and spritzing with water. It creates a beautiful blend of colours, Michelle. Thanks for sharing with us at CAS Watercolour!

This card is so gorgeous it makes my teeth hurt! Love, love, love the watercolored leaves, thanks for explaining how you did them. The wrapped linen thread and bow are perfect for this card and that little acorn finishes it to perfection! Popping this beauty into my favs to study later. TFS!
