This is actually the first card I made for Lisa's Fun and Games challenge, but I don't know - it was really hard to get a good photo of it, those papers and the green base are brighter than I normally use. So I kept it to upload today and made a different one to give her as a sample.
Easel card; the fact that the Bingo card (from Art Neko, I think from their B-Muse line) says "Pittsuburg Flower Society gave me a jumping off point, and I pulled out several flower and leaf buttons. And a rabbit, though I am not sure everyone wants a rabbit in their gardens! I added a trellis, and some friendly garden insects.
Bingo seems to be very popular here as an activity for the elderly. My dad hated it when he tried going to a day centre once a week. It was, apparently, his excuse for giving up going at all which was a real shame because he loved the arts and crafts class and it's the only time since my mum died that he started painting again. But when he kept on telling the bus driver not to bother calling to pick him up, that fizzled out.
My MIL, on the other hand, had also not ever played in her life before, and it's not particularly her cup of tea either. But she signed up for two different day-care days in different locations to keep herself socialised, and plays along with the Bingo very happily, winning little useful things like a tin of fruit or a pack of serviettes. She says she thinks it's good, it makes her listen and concentrate and focus, and use hand-eye coordination. I hope I end up with something more of her attitude than my dad's! On a funny note, one of the days in Spring when I was visiting my dad and he was still in bed getting over pneumonia, the two ladies who came in once a week to do activities and memory therapy actually got him calling out the bingo numbers for the other men in the room. Made me smile inside!!

I am so glad that I had a minute on my lunch break and caught this delightful card. I love your story...what great memories. Your card is wonderful. The papers and buttons as well as the technique are great.

Great card and story! My mother wanted no part of bingo for a year in assisted living but finally caved because they were giving out little candies. BTW we have wild rabbits in our yard every evening around five . I throw them carrots, and it keeps them from eating our flowers. I think they are so cute! Sometimes they fight over the carrots so I just throw out more.
Love all your different buttons! Makes it more fun! We started playing bingo with our youngest grandson a year ago. He loves games of any kind, and he knows we will play anything with him!

Love your card, but love the story even more. One of our church members goes to the community center here for Senior activities and she is blessed by the useful prizes too. I have one persistent bunny in my garden this year that enjoyed my golden beets very much....Boo! We added some line to the dog's leash and he has kept th others away, but this bunny only goes into the farthest part of the garden.

What a great memory of your dad Sabrina. I like the bright papers. I agree I tend not to use many bright papers when crafting so seeing them in the gallery and ways to use them really inspires us to pull them out and play with those as well. Love the easel card for the bingo game. Thank you for making a second card for the challenge this week.
