I started by placing the stamp into my misti and stamping the poinsettia in soft brown ink onto mixed media paper. I left the stamp in place in the misti.
I used my waterbrush and several colours of distress inks to colour over top of the image (no-line watercolouring).
I used my heat tool to make sure the image was dry, added some anti-static powder, stamped the same image over top using Versamark ink, and heat embossed in clear. By leaving the stamp and card in the misti, everything lined up.
Next I masked off a 1" border along all four sides. I used three colours of brown to sponge in the masked area (antique linen all over; brushed corduroy around the sides and edges; Vintage photo just on the four edges.
I splashed some water onto the panel, left it for a few seconds and then blotted with paper towel to create the ghost splats.
I removed the masking tape and stamped a simple sentiment in black.
