TLC658 this week's technique lover's challenge was to do acrylic distress, a new to me technique that was fun to try.
DD8ABC8H we are on the letter H. My H is the name of the stamp set - Hand-Painted Petites. I gave myself the additional challenge to use this old stamp set from long ago. The double challenge was stippling which I did around the flowers that I masked and stippled. This was also my first time trying that technique.
MMTPT480 the teapot challenge this week is to make an anniversary card for Jan & Ray who are celebrating 60 years of marriage. I wanted to make an elegant card for Jan & Ray.
I did the acrylic distress panel first, then stamped the flowers, masked them, and stippled around them. To stamp the flowers and the leaves done the side of the base, I used the stamp-a-ma-jig as this is an old wood-mounted set. I debated about throwing a few gold sequins on but my card consultant (my oldest DD) said to leave it as is.
Thanks for looking!

Gasp! Catherine, your anniversary card is absolutely stunning my friend. I really love the embossed gold vine along the edge because it draws your eye right to your gorgeous image panel. The techniques you used on this card are all new to me as well so I need to check them out because I adore the results you have achieve here. You really set the bar high for the rest of us, and great job on this card fitting the challenges so beautifully too! ~Karen.

The decorative shape of the panel was a great choice with the curving flourishes in your acrylic distress. What great stippling too - not an easy technique for me. And oh my - I just LOVE that gold embossed trailing vine.
