I was curious to try Dina's Debossed Die Resist tutorial. I don't have many suitable dies and think I'd like to try it with an embossing folder - only then of course it wouldn't be a debossed die.
I used the rose from SU's Rose Garden, and a wax resist crayon from Colourcraft (makers of Brusho and much more). I used Twinkling H2Os for the rose, which might have been a mistake because whatever makes them iridescent also tends to be a bit opaque - even slightly over the wax. The background is watercolours with some shading added in with Inktense pencils. While I had the wax crayon in my hand I'd also added a few random dots here and there on the background for resist.
Added a sentiment, then edged it with white acrylic and sprinkled a little glitter over the wet paint here and there. For a first attempt I'm pretty happy, and I'll definitely try this again.
