Carla's challenge today is DIY Decorations. I took that as my cue to finally try this Cuttlebug rosettes die set that I've had for about a year (another one of those impulse Ebay buys!). Ugh. I had to get out my hot glue gun and my Tombow Mono Multi glue. What a mess! So, here I am with giant flowers on a card with no sentiment because I couldn't figure out what the heck to do with this thing. And I can't possible fit it into an envelope! Does anyone have a tutorial for an envelope punch board box maybe?
And then my mom walked in my house and told me that her friend's lung cancer came back, so I will put an encouraging message on the front and inside of this card and give it to her next time I see her. I think she'll really like these rosettes too.
So thanks, Carla, for a fun (and challenging!) challenge.

Oh, very happy-making with those big rosette flowers. It sounds of your already found a great home for it. I love dimensional cards, but because of that envelope problem, I keep them for cards that will be hand delivered, or that will be going in a package.
I would put a sentiment on the inside only; those bright and cheerful rosettes are perfect as frame-able art in a shadowbox. This is a real keeper. Glad you "stuck" with the glue mess and finished it!

I love a happy ending, neighbor! I made one of those cards ONCE (and only once), and ended up putting it in the trash. I didn't care enough about it to put it in a box! LOL!

The rosettes made for pretty, bright flowers, Jen! Love the cheerful colors and your layout. I used that die to create Christmas ornaments from old music sheets. Your pretty flowers inspire me to use it again! Thanks for playing in my challenge.

How awesome you MADE these rosettes Jen! Ive purchased pre made rosettes and they dont come close to the colorful & enchanting ones youve created. This will bring much needed smiles to your moms friend.
Our dear friend was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer in April. Thanks to some extraordinary medicines/treatments & network of doctors, his tumor has shrunk by 30% as of yesterday!
Never give in or give up on combatting the big C !

So glad your beautiful card will be going to someone who needs an encouraging word, Jen. Your rosettes are both fun and colorful and I'm sure your mom's friend will love them! I'm so sorry for the sad report.
