Well, tomorrow Marcella Hawley is "tying the knot" to her sweetheart Doug! Both Bloom Brigade and Instant Gardeners members have teamed up to celebrate with a blog hop today to send her wedding wishes with love . . . with words and cards. (Talk about pressure to make a special card for an artist extraordinaire! But I realized that this isn't about art per se but rather celebrating the love Marcy and Doug have for each other.)
I decided to use a favorite flower of Marcy's mom, and I colored it with some new Chameleon Color Tone pencils and did some "extreme" fussy cutting (so glad that it stayed in one piece - yay!). I sponged the background to give it some blush...all brides blush at some point, right? Then I "staged" the branch, carefully stamped "love" with my Stamp-a-ma-jig, and then adhered it all to the card base. I used a number of small clear adhesive pads to add the delicate branch and flowers and adhered it to the card...breathing a sigh of relief--the branch was in tact!
After Irma, this was a good project for me to work on to help me relax. Perhaps you might want to join in with us to wish Marcy and Doug a beautiful wedding day. It's been such a fun journey, and I know it will be lovely and also fun! I'm sure we'll be seeing lots of wonderful photos in the weeks to come!
I've been MIA for a while again and have been trying to take a "breather." Thanks so much for taking a close-up look at my card. Hope you have a beautiful weekend! Hugs!

Note: I found the Chameleon Color Tone Pencils very interesting to use and was impressed by the hardness and ability to keep a very sharp point, and I love how long they keep that point and how the two ends compliment each other.

This is just a stunning card celebrating Marcy and Doug's love for each other. Your coloring is excellent, as usual. I hope you're getting a lot of peaceful rest. Huggies~~~

What a wonderful tribute to Marcella and Doug's wedding, please send my warmest congratulations to Marcella for me, how I love her stamps and now her new matching dies. Love the darker red in the elegant die-cuts, they really ground the card, and your floral coloring is so lovely! Neat as well to hear your first impressions on the new Chamelion pencils. Your cards are always so beautiful, and one can always see and feel the love that you put into each one, especially this one!

Oh my goodness Cheryl this is stunning! I love the tone on tone color of this with that lovely blush...how appropriate for a bride. I can imagine you must have held your breath doing that fussy cutting ...you did a wonderful job. That fabulous die cut for the frame completes this treasure of a card...all the best to the happy couple.
Glad you are doing ok after the hurricane.
