Well, one "good" thing about hurricanes is that I seem to have more mojo...and time (now that we are "hunkered down") to get inspired by this week's wonderful Inspiration Challenge.
You know me and flowers! I saw this DesignSeed and thought of one of my "never seen ink" stamps. I really especially enjoyed using the Chameleon Pens with the Color Tops and found them such fun getting different colors for the petals. Then decided to fussy cut it...but I didn't fussy cut any flower petals (even though I was tempted). Been too distracted with the storm and reaching family and friends.
Anyway, I found this embossed background in my stash and finally found it (Basketweave by Darice). I matted it with Lavender Lace and then added the tulle. I love the softness of it. It still needed something more, and I found this "hello" that I made when I was at my friend Becky's house a long time ago...and decided to add it. I think it sort of finished it...don't you?
We are experiencing higher winds and are getting much more rain this evening. But the best news is that I heard from my niece. They packed up my sister as though she won't go back home (house is very low-lying), and she is staying with my niece, her DH, and GD. Thank You, Lord!
Thanks for taking a look, and thanks for being my friend! SCS is such a special place...especially when we are shut up in our houses during a storm. Hugs, sweet friends!!

I am so happy to hear you are ok Cheryl and so is your sister and family. At least you have your stamping for positive mental therapy! Will be keeping all of Florida in my prayers.
Love your gorgeous hydrangea and CAS design. Hugs and Prayers.

The colors on this are GORGEOUS! All your "leftovers" seemed to be made just for this hydrangea....funny how things like that come together sometimes. Got any other "never seen ink" stamps?? Get 'em out...So happy you heard from family and they are safe...take care my friend ;)

Goodness Cheryl, the depth of your colours on the flowers is just beautiful. I love Hydrangea's, they are such happy flowers. Something else to add to the never-ending wish list.

A gorgeous hydrangea, Cheryl, and the tulle looks so pretty with it. So happy you got some relief about your sister. I'll be thinking about you all night and praying for everyone.

I think its called basket weave Cheryl ( off the top of my head I think I have that one from cuttlebug) anyways, love the colors of your petals and leaves on this.
Cheryl this is so beautiful!!!! I love it!!! You do good work in a hurricane! You always do good work! I have been so distracted. I NEVER watch the news because of the effect it has on me but I have had it on a lot today and so worried about friends and relatives in Irma's path! Love you!
