I always forget that Christmas Tree Shops have so much more than Christmas. I chose this floral picture as myinspiration, concentrating on the pink flower and subtle background texture: http://www.christmastreeshops.com/pr...o#.WaGsKegpCf0
The main panel was sponged all over with Frayed Burlap Distress Oxide, and I was eager to see how the Antique Linen would look on top. I love the soft effect and that the pigment ink really allowed a light color to sit atop the dark so well. I'd love to say that I purposely created that slight shadow effect, but I think the stencil slipped a bit. Happy accidents!
