For this week's recover wtui challenge. I'd used an efL to show clouds in last week's CAS challenge. I'd masked the clouds to stamp a sun, and that worked for last week's light free-for-all challenge. Well, I'd done it all on one layer, with yellow cs. Not particularly satisfying, even with our smoky skies due to nearby wildfires...
So. I embossed some neenah solar white, masked the clouds and stamped the sun again, then colored it all with copics. I trimmed it, covered the offending yellow sky, and called it done.
Side story: I'd intended to use my copic air brush system. Fail. It leaked, then won't switch on. Then the C0 marker ran out of alcohol before I'd finished shading the clouds. Nasty craft gremlins!

This sun is really darling and it popped beautifully on your clouds but the copic coloring really brought this to life. Fantastic addition to this darling card.

This is happier and brighter, but I think also maybe only the second card so far where I prefer the original. I guess it's like those cards we all sometimes upload because we've made them and put the effort in, and often one we're not wildly happy with ourselves gets a lot of positive feedback. Sorry about the gremlins!

WOW! Love that change to blue sky and clouds, Brenda, makes your sunshine jump out and the red "Sunshine." I actually had to go back and look at the old one, because I though I remember your sentiment being all black...what a different the color change made!
