I made this card for the SCS challenge - See the Light. The challenge was to use any light source, light colors or a sunset. I chose lamp post and made a scene around it.
I started by stamping the girl and the lamp post on a white cardstock. I wanted to make a sunset as the background and chose different pink, purple and blue shades of distress inks. Before inking the background I used rubber cement to mask the images. Once it was dried, I made the background with distress inks. To soften the background I sprinkled water with glitter on the background. That gave a nice light shimmer to the card. Next I removed the rubber cement and colored the images with the color pencils. For the flowers, butterflies and the ground I used Tombow markers to add the color and shading to the ground.
I really like the sentiment and felt it fit perfectly with the card. Heat embossed it and finally used wink of stella to add extra shine and glitter to the girl and the lamp. TFL!
