This is my card for Dawn's 'See the Light' challenge today. I've been making a lot of this style of card lately, primarily because I've discovered that a really fabulous way to do nice sponging is by using distress ink on strathmore mixed media vellum finish paper. Goes on like butter.

A beauty! That blue bg is gorgeous.....just the right amount of light in the middle...I can see why you like making these...the results are very pretty.

Thanks for the tip about the paper. All your cards you have done like this have been gorgeous. My distressed inks and distressed oxide inks are all I ever use anymore. I love the coverage you get, the beautiful blending that can be achieved with them, and the pretty vivid colors.

Lovely card with this paper. Love it too with it's weight and smooth finish. Use it for my calligraphy, no bleeding of the inks. Thanks for sharing about the sponging tip.
