Combining 3 challenges...F for friends, E for embossed, D for Dreams to catch up for the finish of our alpha year.
I have always liked this Thoreau quote, but how to use this on a card had my stymied, and still does.
I found the black & white paper pack at a thrift store recently. One of the patterns tied in with the bottom corners of the stamp, I thought, so I went with it. Decided to try making a 5x7- out of my comfort zone especially with this stamp size but fun, (I use that word loosely, lol) to try. I embossed with the charcoal ink and fussy cut it and popped with dimensionals. TFL

This is lovely Shirl! I always like these colors together and you have created an elegant card - combining three letters! Well done. That pop of red is so much fun and I agree, the paper ties in nicely with the bottom corners of the stamp.

Wow Shirl! This is one gorgeous, and very elegant card for the letter D, E nd F alphabet challenges. Shirl, you are a master at making stunning black and white cards with just the right pop of red. And now you have made a 5x7 card to boot- I am very impressed! I also love how you have rounded the top 2 corners on a couple of mats to imitate the top curve of the sentiment- that is a great detail my friend. ~Karen.
