My mind was brainstorming ideas for this challenge when it posted...This was one of my ideas and then I saw a similar technique used for a card posted last night....Super Yeah - now I had a good push that my idea could happen ;-) Thanks catluvr2! I usually piece my quilts but I wanted to go more for a backlight look.
I blended Distress Ink and regular inks with a little spray of water for the background. The quilt top was adhered and that was added to a distress/shadded Core'dinations Hydrangea canvas card stock square. The panel was added to a 4 1/2 inch square card base. Gina Marie Triple Tree dies were used for the trees. Pear Pizzazz and DI Forest Moss was sponged for some color depth. Snow paste was added and iridescent gems to finish the card
Your comments are so heartfelt...THANK YOU TONS!

This is gorgeous and eye-catching in the gallery. Love the colorful background with the quilt die overlay. Then when I saw the trees up close, I was amazed at the wonderful depth and texture you created with them. The snow paste is pretty cool stuff. Just lovely!

Ah, Nicole, what a lovely wintry card you've created. I'm so glad you got inspiration from Priscilla's card. It's a great idea, and one I'm going to copy from both of you! LOL! Beautiful card!
