This is my submission for the Letter K Alphabet Challenge. The K in my card is the Kraft cardstock I used. This is one of the very first techniques I learned 23 years ago. There were few techniques "back in the day" other than heat embossing and tearing paper edges so this was quite exciting actually. I first heat embossed my image and sentiment using white embossing powder. Now, to do this technique, I just turn my ink pads upside down on my craft sheet and keep water handy. Then I used a damp round paint brush and painted in craft white (pigment) ink into the rose. I did this about 3 times to get enough white to show up because it fades out quickly. Let piece dry a short bit. Then I went in with my lightest colors of ink and painted them right over the white; adding 2-3 layers of the lightest colors too. Allow piece to dry for a bit. Then go in and add your highlight colors with the darker colors of ink; again, doing this about 3 times to get enough coverage. The card was looking rather blah, so then I added the lace and pearls and I was happier with the end result then. Thank you for looking today. ~Karen.

Beautiful card, Karen. I just love this. Adding the lace and pearls just suits the overall romantic theme and look to this card. And that is a wonderful sentiment too! Into my faves!
