This is for Marg's DTGD challenge. I have had this stamp set for a few months and have been itching to do a watercolor galaxy scene. I applied some masking fluid to the wc paper before I created a background wash with gray Peerless watercolor and sprinkled some ultramarine brushos onto the wet surface. I splattered some stardust acrylic paint as well as some gesso to create the look of the milky way galaxy. For the moon/earth, I stamped with all 3 stamp layers using a variety of distress inks, but Iced Spruce oxide was the foundation color. I tried to create a moon haze by sponging some color using the moon in reverse as a mask. It is popped up with dimensionals. The sentiment was stamped and embossed in white.

Your watercolor galaxy is EXQUISITELY done, Julie!! It's so perfect and realistic of the images that we have all seen of space. The sentiment you chose goes perfect with your scene. Sure to thrill whomever receives this card.

Outstanding galaxy interpretation! Love your masking idea, and the general flow of color in your universe.
