One look at my gallery and it is obvious that winter cards are not my thing. So, i did my usual approach when I am out of my comfort zone...i just start putting stuff on the cardstock. I sponged ink then used a stipple brush to pounce acrylic paint over the ink. I added some silver stickles for sparkle. It looked awful at this point, but it did look more like a painting then s card, do I made a faux frame with some winter foliage and attached it to a card. The inside says "wishing you a picture perfect holiday season". I hope you join us in this week's F4A challenge. TCL, Francie

Wow Francie, this is really gorgeous!!! I love your frame too wow, it really looks like wood and patched wood in some places like it has been around for generations! Love your "family treasure" because I'm imagining that your great grandmother painted this masterpiece! Thanks for making this beautiful sample for our challenge!

Francie, Francie, Francie.....you cannot chop down a tree and make a rustic frame and call it a faux frame...ROTFL....Wow this looks spectacular, I am still smiling at the thought of you 'pouncing on' acrylic paint. Your snow bank of trees look wonderful too my friend.

Picture perfect! That frame is really wonderful, it looks like real wood and I love the little foliage sprays decorating it. And then there's that amazing winter scene...it makes me think of The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe when it's always winter.
