I made my plaid background by using three markers and just using a ruler and different slants of the brush tip to get narrow or thick lines. I have a bunch of these metal eyelet flowers and rings so decided to add one to the card. I tied a loose knot in the ribbon which I pulled up through the opening in the eyelet to give the flower a center. Thought this made a pretty good summer birthday card.

Cute!!! Tying the knot for the flower centre was a great idea, but that little white bunny tail is the cherry on the cake.
The plaid looks great too, you do right to be happy with it. I tried with a ruler in an attempt to get straighter lines than simply free-handing them, but I found that for me it bled a bit and smudged - well done you for pulling it off to perfection.

What a cute card. I can see why you are pleased with your plaid. It's beautiful.

Totally creative card from the way that you created your wonderful plaid to how you did your flower center.....and then there is that terrific coloring of your sun bathing mouse, Pat.

This is a fantastic card with the gorgeous plaid work and lovely sunbathing mouse! The first thing that caught my eye is the wonderful flower with the ribbon knotted in the center. Love the card and it's great artwork!

Everything about this card is adorable! I love the warm colors that match the warm sentiment that match the warm image (which is so beautifully colored!) I adore the knot of the ribbon being the center of the flower too!
