I made this card for the letter U alphabet challenge. My U is the unicorn. I colored this unicorn with glitter pens and added clear wink of stella to the mane and tail which are super glittery, but I could not get to photograph for anything. I used clear stickles on the horn so it is really sparkly too. The frame was cut using spellbinder's rectangle dies, the sun was cut using a circle die, then cutting strips of paper at an angle for the sun's rays. The clouds were die cut from a sizzix hot air balloon stamp/die set and colored with gray glitter pens. I have had this unicorn colored and fussy cut out for awhile now, but I could not come up with a card for anything. Then I was browsing through the new StampinUp catalog and I saw the card in the bottom left-hand corner on page 78 and my brain when ding! ding! ding! and that was the inspiration for this card. Yay! I attached a piece of heavy-weight vellum over the card base to soften it up and allow the frame and images to show more. Thanks for looking. ~Karen.

So cute Karen! I really like the polka dot sun. Your unicorn has such fun colors on the mane and tail and I'm sure it is quite sparkly. This card is sure to delight whoever receives it.
Mystically gourgous!!! Thought colors are soft and beautiful it still has a beautiful rainbow of colors!! And sparkle too in real life I'm sure. And whoever gets this will sure be loving it. The suns rays look like ribbons and not paper. So pretty and cheery!

I'm sure IRL this is so sparkly pretty, Karen, but wink of stella Never shows up in photos, unfortunately. I love your layout with the clouds and sunburst, then the fun magical unicorn comes on the scene!

I think this is so creative of you the way you have made the sun and rays. And delightful in the polka dot paper too. The vellum is an interesting addition to soften it. Love that idea. I am always learning so much from your cards. Those puffy clouds go so well with your unicorn, which I am sure is sparkly irl.
