This was a quick and easy card to create for this week's CAS challenge. The part that took the longest was waiting for my paper to dry. :-)
I stamped the explosions with Versamark and covered them with glittery red embossing powder. I wasn't sure if the red color would still stay red after I sprayed it with the dark blue Glimmer Mist, so I decided to call it an experiment. If it was a bust, I'd just do it again but with white embossed explosions instead.
Color me surprised when the red glitter stayed RED and glittery after the dark blue spray dried. Yay!!! Successful experiment!! To make it more about the 4th of July, I added the die cut letters to the bottom of this CAS card.
I hope you all have a safe and wonderful 4th of July!!!

Haha Holly! When I saw your pretty card in the challenge lineup I thought "goodness girl don't you know that alcohol and fireworks do not mix?" Then I zoomed in and saw your Glimmer Mist (still laughing at me). Awesome results!

I'm really surprised your glimmery spray didn't mute the glitter red embossing! This card looks fantastic with it's simplicity and the bold USA at the bottom.
