So . . .a little background for this card - I grew up in rural America in the late 40's and though MOST townspeople had indoor plumbing, out on the farms outhouses were the norm! Our outhouse had REAL toilet paper but Grandpa wasn't about to pay the price for "that new-fangled stuff" when Sears sent a perfectly good catalog every 6 months for free!! Oh, Lordy - was that stuff scratchy - but it was even worse if somebody else had used the last page . . .

Too cute!!! Everyone loves a bit of humor. Your card actually reminds me of the "facilities" we had while my dad was in the process of building our house when I was a kid.

This is so funny! Nice job on the coloring! Nice story too! In my day, even though it wasn't much younger than yours, we did have indoor plumbing. Gotta love those Sears catalogs!!

Oh, what a fabulous and funny card! I love images of old outhouses. They make us realize how good we have it. I love your sentiment. Thanks, for playing the challenge.
