Today's Ways to Use It theme is Sea Worthy in honor of the beginning of summer. My favorite place to be is on a beach, either at the ocean or at the beautiful Lake Michigan beaches on the western coastline of Michigan. I sponged the sand and light blue of the water, then masked off the sky line and added the deeper blue water. Reversed my mask and sponged the sky, leaving some whispy clouds showing. The shore birds were stamped along with some texture for the sand. I created a little foam along the water by using a small, round brush and pouncing just a bit of white acrylic paint along the shoreline, getting the brush nearly dry of paint before beginning. I sponged the die cut shells. The light shells were cut from Pink Pirouette and I sponged with Distress Antique Linen to tone them down - did the same for the mat behind the main image. The seashells and gulls were added and the sentiment. The inside has a quote from Van Morrison, which is on an IO stamp:
"Smell the sea and feel the sky,
Let your soul and spirit fly..."
This will go to one of my girlfriends who loves the beach as much as I do - TFL

The die cut birds, and the die cut shells, make this card so serene and beautiful! Claudia, this is so gorgeous!
