Lisa's challenge today is "Doodle It". My mom says she can't see the doodling, but I think I followed the directions in the Traced Doodling tutorial. It isn't very "doodly" though, is it? I just couldn't seem to stop myself from making it too neat.
I started by stamping the pandas on the green paper
with London Fog and masking them. Then I stamped the Bamboo with New Sprout. I had a lot of fun going through the whole paper with my black gel pen and tracing over all the images. I especially liked that I could make the two pandas look slightly different from each other. Then I colored in both pandas with gel pens to give them a bit of scribbled look to the coloring. I loosely colored in the bamboo and leaves with Copics. Since I decided it wasn't very doodly, I finished off with a hand-lettered sentiment using my Crayola Supertips marker.
This will go to my friend, Christine, who is still in the hospital going on four months now. She is more stable now, but still having to go in for surgery three times a week. She is eating on her own and getting occupational and speech therapy. She can't see the cards I send her, but they keep them hanging in her room. I pray every day for her eyesight to return and for her to return home to her family.

You did the technique perfectly! Darling pandas, wonderfully colored with the gel pens and love the bamboo! Super cute card. Thank you for playing along.
Your card is so sweet and lovely. I am sure your friend appreciates them even if she cannot see them. I am so sorry to hear of her condition. I'll say a prayer for her recovery.
