This rose is not quite as blue in real life and the rose in my garden is also not as blue as we thought it would be - still pretty though. My newly planted hanging baskets are also purples and yellow so this inspiration picture (https://www.etsy.com/uk/listing/2635...home_active_82) called to me. For the background to the right of my handcut watercolour piece I used Distress Oxide (Fossilised Amber) and Distress Inks (Squeezed Lemonade and Bundled Sage) and a stencil.
