Needed a card for my niece's HS graduation next month. School colors are yellow and black.
I was inspired to pull out my Spellbinders border dies after seeing Maura (beesmom) making such great cards lately using her border dies.
Started by making my DSP "hill" so that I would know where to place my hedgie image. Stamped the Rubber Stampede sentiment and layered to white panel (3.75" x 5").
Stamped and colored my image using Copic markers. Put some Wink of Stella over the hedgie's needles and on the tassle and stars.
Matted to slightly larger panel of black Bazzill cardstock.
Layered a piece of black Bazzill cardstock over my card base to add some texture. Added my matted focal panel.
Embellished with some PPP star and regular sequins. Added some glossy accents to the hedgie's nose and the stamped dots.
Die cut my 17 (MFT) twice and added.
TFL!

OH, my, this one jumped into my faves even before I read your kind words! I LOVE it - that bit of border from the same pp as the number is a great touch, and I love the soft bg behind your hedgie!

One of the nicest graduation cards I have seen in a long time. Love the image, love the little yellow print DP and like that you put the number 17 on the card. Just a great card....
Thank you also for leaving that nice comment on my tulip card this week. I appreciate that you took the time to do that.
