For Marilynn's MIX challenge today, showers and/or flowers. Since I feel just now as if "into each life some rain must fall, but too much is falling in mine", I have really made this for myself. I recycled a stormy sky Brusho background which had a sentiment stamped in silver on it - the die was a great way of eliminating most of that. Along the bottom I added some grass cut from a scrap of alcohol ink bacgkround, and some "still waters" - originally intended to be blue acrylic through the wavy lines in a TCW stencils, then I smudged that and added white and it was still a mess, so I blended it together and just used the stencil to draw in the sparkly ripples. I added a sentiment pieced from the first line of a Psalm 23 stamp, and some little die-cut raindrops and daisies for the challenge.
The base layer was also from my scrap box - it was IO's Gradations coloured with blue and purple gelatos and misted before stamping. Today I stamped the "It is well with my soul" stamp from ODBD and stencilled sunrays with a yellow gelato, so that it would show through the lattice die.
The sheep was stamped on white card twice and fussy-cut - the ear is popped up.

I see some sunbeams starting to filter through your rainy day. This card is SO Sabrina and I have to keep scrolling up to catch something new! EWE nailed this on both challenges.

Awesome card, Sabrina. I love your sheep and the partial verse goes so well with this card. I know what you mean about too much rain in your life....been a bad week for me, too.:( Plus real rain which hasn't helped a bit.

Oh, precious Sabrina, I love this card! What an amazing background given how you feel the "rain" falling in your life. It can be so hard, and here's a special, tender hug for you! I absolutely love the precious sheep and how you've popped his dear ear, and what a beautiful portion of Psalm 23 you've placed on it..it's perfect. And I love the flowers at the bottom, because the rain always does bring flowers...eventually. You certainly are amazing at mixed media! I've committed this to memory (once again) and recite it each morning as a precious reminder of how dear and loving our Shepherd Father is to us...through it all. Hugs, sweet friend! xoxo

Love the symbolism of this card, Sabrina - how bleak and stormy the top layer is, but underneath, the sunny, cheerful skies are breaking through... I empathize with you, as I'm going through some "storm" myself, but struggling hard to believe that the sun will break through some day...Thank you for sharing this card, it is a card that gives hope. Big hugs...
