Today's featured stamper is Kandie (Kemernow). She has a fabulous variety of cards and have watched her grow to a very talented artist. Her tenacity of practicing painting & coloring has ser the bar high! Her creations are a real treat.
I chose this delightful Mother's Day card of hers: Citrus Hued Card for Mom by Kemernow at Splitcoaststampers
Her results of the flower pounding technique intrigued me and I chose one very small flower- a violet, whereas Kandie's design included flower leaves.
I changed the size to square and used ribbon vs washi tape. I also stamped my sentiment on the ribbon vs on the card.
My sentiment looks fuzzy in the photo; it looks better IRL.
Used 2 dies-the floral frame in lavender color and floral square center in a lt. Green DP.
I laid the single flower on the DP and covered with parchment paper so I could see through it as I pounded the flower with a hammer burnishing into the DP I kept the petals in tact instead of removing it. I love the color contrast on the paper. I used paper towel on it add pressed out most of the moisture.
I used a decorative corner punch on the Navy CS and adhered to lavender card base then added the 2 die cut panels.
Using my stamp perfect, I placed ribbon in it then stamped the sentiment. Finished with 2 enamel dots.
This will go to my dear mom.
Congratulations Kandie! Enjoy your week and thanks so much for inspiration. Your cards are fantastic!!
