When I saw the sketch, it spoke "Asian" to me. I have had this lovely silk floral paper in my stash for years, and felt it would go well with the Penny Black Warbler stamp (which has an Asian feel to it).
The Chinese character in the red circle translates to "happiness", which I feel highlights the warbler's singing pose.
The card is relatively straightforward, except for cutting the yellow diagonal strip. By far, the easiest way to do this is to cut a piece of cardstock that is taller and wider than your want your final angle piece, but not too much taller (width won't matter at this point). Lay it across at the angle you want, then cut the sides from the BACK of your main panel using your paper trimmer. Now you can mark the angled piece narrower (top to bottom) and cut it with your trimmer. Be sure it is wide enough to cover the joint between the top floral panel and the bottom purple panel on both sides. You may have to try this tricky angle piece a couple times ( I did!).
After creating this main panel, it was then glued to the Whisper White card base with Tombow glue.
