This is for Deb's VSN challenge to decorate a calendar or planner. At the end of last year, I purchased this school year calendar (ending June'17) on clearance for a dollar; I thought it would be a good scratch pad on my craft desk. Then I started using it to take notes about the cards I needed to make. It needed some sprucing up.
I stamped birthday candles on the dates that need a card sent - pink for girls and blue for boys. Anniversaries got a red heart. The day before the month starts has a butterfly for a new beginning. Stars stenciled in patriotic red & blue stars for Flag Day and golden orange for Father's Day. First day of "Summer" was stamped. The 4th Wednesday of the month was stamped for my monthly Card Club - a wooden stamp handle with a "hand stamped" image inside. A tall flower finishes the month. At the top, I added the encouragement "stamp your art out" and started the month with the verse "The laundry needs attention, there are dishes in the sink, Who'd guess I'd find such happiness with rubber and some ink!"
It's April Fools on me - I jumped ahead to the last page and decorated it. By then, I will forget about it and get surprised when I tear off the month of May and see the fun, stamped page for June. Fun challenge. TFL

This is great! I love that it gives you something pretty to look at while you're creating something special for someone else! And it's so great that with just one glance your "code" helps keep tally of your card-making to-do list! So clever! Might need CASING! ;) Thanks so much for playing my challenge!
