I was all too happy to make today's Alpha challenge for the letter T, especially if it involved making a tag. I LOVE making tags.
Since I have stocked up on books to read, and I keep losing my old store receipts that I use for bookmarks either in the bed covers or under the bed, or the dog chews them up, I decided to make a TAG bookmark, extra large, so that possibly I won't lose it. I used a real honest to goodness page from my favorite go-to book for book pages, an 1840 copy of Ivanhoe, in such bad shape that it is only good for page crafts, although the book cover is still rich with history. I blended Distress Inks, spritzed with water, dried the paper, and glued it to the tag. The edges are stained, a coffee spill stencil used in medium brown, and a Fiskars stamp. Then I fussy cut a row of books from a bg pad and glued to the bottom, tied an old bent ribbon with key to the tag, and there we go. TFL!

Hello fellow book lover! Love your tag and all the extras on it. Oh, yes, I am a fellow tag lover too! This is a fabulous little work of art. You will enjoy using this as a bookmark I am sure. Much better than a grocery receipt, lol....this one will make you smile when you open your book to read.

I feel the same way about books. I can remember my Mom telling me to go out and play when I had my nose in a book. I'd just take the book outside with me
Love your tag, the colors are all so lovely together.

Wonderful book mark! Love the sentiment since I think of books as my friends and coffee is a necessity! The coffee rings are absolutely appropriate! :-)
Gorgeousness and another masterpiece!! You so inspire me to want to hurry and get to Round 7 and make a tag. Along with many other things.
Into my high ho list another of yours goes!!! MMFS.

I certainly hope you don't lose this, Kandie, it's just too nice! Lovely distressing with a pop of pink & blue....your row of books at the bottom is so perfect for this bookmark!

Wonderful tag and I love that you added the books and that key. Love this photography, too.
