Back after a long couple of weeks away from my craft space..first I was dog/house sitting for almost 2 weeks, then get home to discover that my wife had been cleaning her side of the. Office/craft room and had shoved my stuff plus some of here all up in my craft space. Finally cleared it up this weekend and now I'm trying to catch up to a few of last weeks challenges..
This one combines last Wednesdays sketch with last Friday's Free for all theme of spring! Dug through my scraps for some springy papers but everything looked too stark against the white card. So I grabbed a sponge (Dollar Tree has those cone shaped curvy blender sponges now and I thought they might be good for blending and they are! Same material as the wedge sponges but no harsh lines/edges when you want something softer) and layered on light green, pink, orange and blue inks. Then added the pattern papers and the butterfly and sentiment. Wanted something light blue for the triangle bit and went with mulberry paper, which looks better torn so I went for a sort of curve instead of the sharp angle and tore the other PP so everything was a little softer and less angular. Finished with three smaller felt stickers from the same sheet as the butterfly. Thanks for looking! So happy to be back again!
