Roberta is our hostess in the Color Challenge this week, and she has given us some bold and bright colors: Blackberry Bliss, Daffodil Delight, and Garden Green. The dessert option is bling!
I had a little trouble getting started with these colors (translation: first two attempts are in the recycle bin!). To jump start my mojo, I decided to pull out a very old stamp set that I really like and havenÂ’t used in years! I stamped the flower in Blackberry Bliss. I love how the stamp is textured, so that one application gives both the bold edges and the lighter center of the petals. The stem/sentiment and leaves are stamped in Garden Green.
For my background layer, I pulled out my alcohol inks and some Yupo paper. I love the gold mixative that gives the layer some shine, maybe even qualifies for bling!
Added some ribbon, a flower center (Lemon Twist should be yellow, right?) and green dot with Enamel Accents, and just to be sure I get dessert, a sequin.
Thanks for stopping by, and please play along with us this week!

I had some challenges getting started too, Barbara - but your end result is so pretty! Sweet flower and I love the look of the alcohol bg! Almost looks like marble!
