Youngest Son & His Lovely Bride will celebrate their 4th (4th! where DOES the time go?) wedding anniversary soon so now I have their card all ready to go. The challenge at shoppingourstash.blogspot.com was to make a romantic card with NO hearts and I think a pretty cake & paper with the word "love" fills the bill. I attached the patterned paper, then the shimmer trim. I embossed the cake & plate with regular gold EP powder before finding the gold detail but decided to leave it. For the flowers & sentiment strip I used the detail powder. After die cutting the oval I adhered the cake, used glue dots to adhere the roses & adhered the sentiment strip. I used foam tape to pop the oval up on the card. I put rhinestones on the circles at the top of the cake but after experimenting with markers on scraps I decided to leave the rest of the cake & plate white. Other challenges: stampinkpaper.com (colors: light yellow, peach & teal) and tuesdaymorningsketches.blogspot.com (I put the trim at the bottom instead of ribbon at the top.) TFL!
