Judy, StampingQueenJAR, hosted a wonderful technique challenge - Iris Folding. I love iris folding and so enjoyed the challenge, Judy!
Mary, Mary917, hosted the color challenge with a color combination of Watermelon Wonder, Mint Macaron, and Night of Navy. Great color combination, Mary!
For my card, I selected a hot-air balloon design for the Iris Folding Challenge. I used the SU Carried Away DSP for the folds, which is perfect as it has all the colors of the color challenge within the paper. Further, the paper is all about hot-air balloons. It was perfect for the design and both challenges.
This design was difficult as the iris folding for the bottom of the balloon does not fully cover the cut out. I was not sure how I would work with that, but I think it's OK.
Thank you so much for your wonderful comments!
Bev
P.S. I am getting so frustrated with the SCS system for uploading cards. I'm praying this time the card will post, as it is the fourth time I've tried. Also, the system changes my text to italics and centers it. The system is a major deterrent!

Beautiful work on your iris folding & you managed a wonderful finish on the bottom edge. Love the addition of the burlap basket & cording to complete the image!

What a fun iris folded balloon this is Bev! This card feels like summer to me! I love the burlap basket, your lovely sky bg with clouds and your use of cording too. Excellent work my friend, and Happy Valentine's Day to you too! Hugs! ~Karen.
