Sabrina is hosting today's Technique Lovers Challenge, TLC624. She asked us to "Give Tapestry a Try". Thanks, Sabrina, for introducing me to this technique! You selected a great one!
As instructed in the Tapestry Tutorial, I first sponged distress inks onto a piece of white card stock using pink, blue and yellow inks. When I stamped my images in SU Whisper White Pigment Ink (or Craft) and onto the now colored panel, the pigment ink would not show up over the distress inks. DonÂ’t know why, but thatÂ’s what happened. Thus, into the trash that panel goes.
Therefore, I decided to try Catherine Pooler's new inks. They are great, luscious inks and it took very little to sponge the colors onto another piece of white card stock that I cut out using a ODBD Lavish Layers Die. Using the Whisper White ink, I stamped my images onto the colored panel. It worked like a charm; except the inks dried too quickly.
No big deal, right! I covered the White Pigment Ink with Clear Embossing Powder and heat set the images. Then I covered the complete panel with VersaMark Ink, added clear embossing powder, and heat set. It worked! Well, now that I see it, I realize that the camera picks up everything, including my strokes of blue on the right-hand side. They donÂ’t appear in person. Love the camera; it never lies!
Thanks for viewing and commenting! Have a happy Monday!

This card just jumps right out of the gallery in the most wonderful way. It is a total wow card my friend. I love the colors you used, this gorgeous flower image, and beautiful die that frames it all so nicely. I am impressed by the process for doing tapestry, and I am impressed by your comments about the Catherine Pooler inks too because I am curious about them. This is a stunning card my friend! Hugs! ~Karen.

Oh wow, Bev, what a beauty in every detail
.. your rich vibrant colours, the beautiful white line images (yes, I found that a solid image showed more without needing to take extra steps, and that amazing die-cut to present it. Thanks for trying Tapestry.
