This if for F4A363 - Make A Valentine. Not a very traditional take on a valentine, I admit. I had two Distress Resist BGs I have been wanting to use, and so I worked on two cards and this was the one that ended up getting finished, I'm still struggling with the other one. I don't know if anyone else feels this way, but there's a definite disconnect between my crafting style and the whole Distress BG thing. I love making these BGs - it's my absolute favorite craft playtime activity - but then I have a hard time making them into cards because what Tim does with his BGs veers off into a whole different direction from what I tend to do when I make a card. I like a collagey look, but I like a flat and clean collagey look, it's difficult for me to do a torn edge or get too piled-on or dimesional. So I usually I end up cutting them down for focal point BGs, whic gives me room to do my thing on the rest of the card. This one made it all the way to the end as a full BG.
Not sure anyone will actually get this. It might go into the stash as merely the peculiar results of an absorbing afternoon. Good enough. Yay.
TFL!

Robin, love the vintage look of this fabulous card! I too just love collages and just can't seem to do them! You did an outstanding job on this! Not like it? I think it's off the charts in creativity!

That bg rocks!!!!!! I really like how you added the alpha stamp along the top...great idea to break up the larger stenciled portion of the bg. The collage-y image within the heart is a fab design element....Since I also own that AD stamp..if we ever got together to stamp I wonder how much of our collections would be overlap..it's pretty fun how our tastes are so much alike ;) Another pretty card my friend.
