For Anna's "Brr! Make it Frosty" mix challenge, to use glitter or paste to add sparkle to a card.
I was thinking, since we could go any theme, of brighter colours, but seem to have ended up with pastels. I found this hedgehog in my box of scraps, and covered over all the grass with white paint and then sprinkled glitter over it.
For the base, I used a dictionary page and stamped it with an IO cover-a-card snowflake stamp in Versamark and embossed it with Iridescent Ice, heating it till it had melted into the paper. Then I misted it with some Brusho acrylic mists.
The torn strip is from the same dictionary page, stamped with Roses in Winter in Versafine Deep Red and distress Victorian Velvet. I edged the whole thing with more white paint and sprinkled glitter over it. Added a sentiment to the hedgie image, edged it in Stickles, popped it up on foam and added some buttons to finish it off.

A wonderful mixed media card. I see a lot of sparkle and the sentiment is such a good one. Also, I really like those stamped roses on your page.

That sentiment is sooooo wonderful...I am adding it to my collection of fav sayings. The big heart over the dictionary page looks fantastic, and I love your various techniques and details.

What a fabulous mixed media creation Sabrina. I hadn't thought to use Brushos in a mister. I love the colour palette, your sweet little hedgie and the vintage buttons. Everything about this makes me smile.

Sabrina, I looked at both challenges before I started my "pup" card but it just hurt my head to think about it! LOL Sometimes it's a breeze to combine and really they were not difficult challenges to combine but I think I was hyped up about Seth's birthday and couldn't think about one more thing! I checked out your card before I started on mine and was in awe! I love your use of the dictionary paper! Your hedgehog is a so fun and what a moving sentiment! Beautiful card! You always inspire!

This is such a wonderful mixed media card Sabrina. I absolutely love this sweet little hedgie with his flowers, and I am truly impressed with everything you did to make this wonderful card. I have not tried mixed media yet, but I am interested so thank you for describing how you made this fabulous card! I am putting this right into my favs! ~Karen.
