This is for the Alphabet Challenge J. This is a real stretch.. J is for the jewels/rhinestones and this card is for Justin's mom. xD The Double Challenge was to make it a 'j' word.. jolly, jovial.. another stretch... happy = jolly? lol Regardless... it was fun! And that's all that matters. Right? Right! haha
I've been practicing a lot on my watercolor techniques. I was happy with the way this turned out and I really liked the colors so I decided to use it for Kim's card. Justin said she loves hummingbirds. I stamped and heat embossed on top of the watercoloring. I die cut the mixed media paper and the purple paper, and adhered them to the pinkish and white cs. I wanted it to have some sparkle so I cut the flowers using Sizzix TH Tattered Florals and pretty ombre glitter paper. The pink and purple are the same page.. just opposite ends. I layered those up with a small misc flower punch I have and popped the rhinestone in the middle of each. I wanted a bit more sparkle and hit various areas of the card with diamond stickles... just random places and designs, then dumped extra fine diamond glitter on it. I gave it a 2 only because as simple as the watercolor background is, I worked really hard to get it right. Thanks so much for looking!

Just beautiful! Love the sparkle from the jewels and the glitter. Gorgeous colors. Very feminine. The hummingbird is so unique; I've never seen that one before. Looks great. I like how your water-coloring shows through the stamped design. Lovely die-cut layers. Pretty flowers with jewel centers. Joyful card for Letter J. Well done. TFS

Wow Jennifer, this is really a gorgeous card. I love the water coloring that showcases this beautiful hummingbird, the lovely soft colors you chose for this card, the "sugared up" die cut flowers, and all the sparkle and bling you added too. This card is sure to be a big hit by the recipient. Hugs! ~Karen.
