Well, it's been a while since I've posted a card...since last year! You know how "life" can be at times, and it was finally a treat to color something. As soon as I saw this week's Color Challenge with Karen Barber's favorite colors, I knew I could use them on this card. I love sweet peas, and I used the entire image, used one of my favorite decorative dies, and then adhered to the white card base. I added some "diamonds" that I got from Honey Bee Stamps to add some sparkle and interest.
Okay...are you ready for true confessions? I colored this image (as my test) on regular photocopy paper. Yep! I liked it and just could not replicate this same color on what I normally use (Neenah). So...after numerous attempts, I gave up and used this one - haha! Do you believe it? I now understand how Susie (my DD sis) uses copy paper successfully. However, I don't plan to make this a habit!
So, my wonderful friends, thank you so much for taking a closer look at my card, and I hope you have a wonderful rest of the week! You are so dear to me!

Oh Cheryl, you are amazing. This is just over the moon gorgeous. The way the die cut frame mirrors the vines on the fliwers is stunning. Wonderful shades of pink and green. Power Poppy is so fortunate to have you designing for them.

I don't know, Cheryl, but it looks like you are as much a pro with that copy paper as you are with your Neenah!;)) The colours really did turn out fabulous especially matching up with that gorgeous frame. Love the little distressed and stitched labels on the stems.

Cheryl, that sweet pea image is delicious and colored beautifully on photo copy paper. It just couldn't look any better. Gorgeous die, also. I see you used the Perfect Layers tool. I got one for Christmas (because you liked yours) but haven't tried it yet.
