Congratulations to Twila for being this week's featured stamper. I actually took inspiration from a couple of cards--it's so fun to start overflowing with ideas. This card is based on: Basket for Mom by tjdstampsalot at Splitcoaststampers.
One of my New Year's resolutions was to use some 12x12 paper that's been sitting around for years. I think this is from one of the first paper packs I ever bought. I made a bunch of envelopes, then sliced up the leftover pieces to use for backgrounds. I wasn't sure what to do with this one till I saw Twila's beautiful card and basket. Then a quick die cut and silhouette stamp, and it came together in a snap. The colors are different and I used an oval instead of a rectangle, but the general layout and tone is the same.
Thanks so much for looking.

Delightful! Lovely combination of papers. I like how you used the diagonal line to make the frame. The silhouette stamp is a nice choice. Well done with your case for our Featured Stamper today. Your goal for 2017 is a good one. I've been using up old paper all last year and now into this year. I must say it's been a lot of fun, even though I was challenged at times. Hope you enjoy the experience and make lots of wonderful cards, like this one. Into my favs! TFS

Your diagonal background in soft colors really makes your image stand out. Beautifully done.

Very nice combination of papers and colors surrounding your adorable focal image. Great way to use up your papers (instead of throwing some out as I recently did!).
