I'm calling this creation *delightfully tacky*. It was fun to make, but it looks a little like a hot mess in the photo. It's really appropriately colorful and blinged up IRL.
Something Old: The Marquee is a vintage style sign. The chevron paper is retired. Shaker card technique is old. Also, I paper pieced the sign together, so that is also an old technique.
Something New: First time to use this stamp set. Also, I made the card as a congrats for my friends who just opened a new restaurant near downtown Dallas. I've never made a congrats card for a new business before.
Something Borrowed: I borrowed the logo(s) from the restaurant's website.
Something Blue: Pacific Point base of the card and the sequin embellishment.
If you live in the Dallas area, give Beto and Son at Trinity Mills a try. The son is one of my former students--been through chef school and is only 22. He and his dad make some delicious upscale Mexican food!

LOL, I wouldn't go as far as tacky, not from the photo! It's very retro and vintage feeling ( psychedelic sixties?) and totally fun. I wish I could come and eat there, I really like Mexican food but there's not much available here (and I'm not sure how good it is, either!!) Love the coloured thread and string of sequins.
