Now that Dolly the insomniac dog has gone over the Rainbow, I have to take full blame for making cards at 2am rather than sleeping. In fact, Georgia the ginormous German Shepherd is very vocal, and most of her middle of the night sighs sound like "are you DOOOOONE yet?". She is not into crafts. I had this wonderful fairy chasing the moon just waiting on my dining room table to become a card. I colored her with sharpies and was just going to stick her on the star dp, however, it didn't look too good. After making several altered books requiring fussy cutting, I decided never to cut anything again....that one evaporated even faster than my usual New Year resolution to exercise every day. I mixed some white, yellow and blue acrylic paint, dipped my finger in a little paint and a lot of water and made the mist bg. After gluing the fairy down I somehow got paper towel stuck to the bg. I decided just to add some crumpled up white napkin pieces for texture and to cover the goof. Finally, I added the paste stars with a star stencil.

Your coloring is gorgeous and LOVE that background! I could never have come up with something like this! It's so dreamy! Love the flow of the fabric of her gown and the napkin pieces enhance that so perfectly!

Oh wow Francie this is GORGEOUS!!! Your colouring looks fabulous and the magical background is out of this world. I always have a chuckle at your write-ups and I sometimes suspected that it was you and not always Daisy the insomniac dog who loved to play at 2am. xx

I decided to wait till I was home and see this first on the big screen instead of trying to peer at it on my phone...the contrast between your vivid and wonderful fairy and the sombre greys of the sky is just fantastic - you have a real Milky Way feeling going on in your sky. I remember the first time I was somewhere clear enough to really see for the first time how it got that name! Love the butterflies in her hair.
