My inspiration came from this childrens song 'Fairies in the Garden'
I cut a circle from some typing paper and used the negative space to put in my sun using chalks applied with a cotton ball. Then masked the sun and still using my negative stencil continued adding circles in pink & blue for the fairy sky. Once complete, I covered the sky and sponge in some ground cover. Stamped the meadow flowers & butterfly and edged the entire piece by spongin on charcoal ink. Sprayed the entire piece with glimmer mist (to set the chalks) added my die cut fairy and mounted onto pink cardstock

Wow, Linda, your fairy sky is amazing - it actually looks like shimmer paper only you don't have to worry about the shimmer being reflective and hard to photograph. I guess it's a combination of the circles for sponging and the glimmer mist. And I'm intrigued by the sponged edges, how did you get them looking so wispy like wool? Thanks for being one of the non-Christmas songs and teaching me a new song today .
