When I saw this week's sketch challenge on Thank Goodness It's Friday Challenge #85: http://tgifchallenges.blogspot.com/ somehow I thought "kooky" instead of traditional Christmas. And admit it, EVERYBODY has at least one of-the-wall friend who would appreciate a kooky card!
I carefully cut out the Christmas Santa's and moose (yes, "moose" is both singular and plural!) from two separate designer series papers to fit the two sizes of panels I needed for the sketch. Then I chose an offbeat "candy cane" design for the center piece.
These were all glued down on a Chocolate Chip panel that was 5.25" x 3.625". Then that assemblage was glued to an Old Olive matting that was 5.25"x 4".
This combined panel was then glued to the front of the Real Red card base (5.5" x 8.5" folded in half).
The hardest part was finding the goofy Santa's and moose that could be cut to the size I wanted: 1.875" x 1.75" for the moose, and 1" x 1.875" for the Santa's. With these measurements available to you (so you don't have to figure then out on your own), the difficulty rating for this card is "2".
I know my friends who love off-the-wall things will find this the perfect Christmas card this year!
