Hello all, Thanks for the fun challenge Lisa...my only problem, deciding WHICH fairy tale to do! I have this new image from Coni Fong that I have been wanting to color up so Little Mermaid got it! She is colored with Copics and then Stickles and Wink of Stella on her tail and on the anemone. Glossy accents on the bubbles and pearl. The blue card base is shimmer card stock.
I have to say that I like Disney's version of the Little Mermaid better than Hans' because Disney always has a happy ending...Hans does NOT!
Thanks for looking!
PS, I just saw Sabrina's suggestion of using all the fairy tale characters I have on a twist and pop...good idea...maybe later if I get a chance, I will have to print them all up smaller.

Oh, you make the best mermaid cards, Robin. This is just awesome. I think Sabrina had a great idea but know that will take a lot of time. Hope you do it.

Robin, this is gorgeous. I love all the sea creatures and shells surrounding your lovely mermaid. You've colored this so well and the layout is marvelous. Most original fairy tales and rhymes do not have happy endings. The ones that do have a long tortuous road to get there. Disney's are sure a lot easier on kids.

Mate we have talked about this before, I don't think you are allowed to photograph a book cover and call it your own hehehe. Seriously you should be a colourist and illistrator, this is drop-dead gorgeous! I could sit here and look at this all day long. Soooo beautiful. xx

Oh I can't wait to see the twist and pop up with all the images because this one just blew me away with the beauty. I love Disney's fairy tales too. Your right, Hans did not always have a happy ending. What incredible coloring you have done on your little mermaid. She is so darling. Thank you for playing along.

The amount of beautiful coloring on this image truly boggles my mind, Robin. Truly magnificent. Each card you create definitely shows that you put your "all" into it.

Robin, my first impression was HOW much coloring you had to do on this! It would have taken me a week. Her hair is just gorgeous! Love your mermaid cards!
